The AI revolution is only picking up steam with Apple’s recent announcement this week.

But the name….Apple Intelligence?

1/ Apple’s AI Event Recap

Apple’s AI Event just took place, and a whole slew of announcements were just made that shook the world of AI.

• System-wide writing tools: Apple has built in tools into iOS18 that allows users to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text in mail, notes, and other apps (bye Grammarly?)

• Rewrite- suggestions of different versions of what could be written (Example: making a party invitation more humorous)

• Image Playground- users can create fun images in seconds, using animation, illustration, or sketch.

• New Siri- with the power of ChatGPT and OpenAI integrated, siri can tap into a global knowledge base and answer more relevantly, and provide more detailed context to people.

One thing’s for sure- Sam Altman is a master dealmaker- OpenAI now is partners with Microsoft and Apple.

2/ Elon vs Apple?

A faraday cage may be overkill here, but he makes some notable points here- at the browsing level, Apple is using GPT-4o to enhance results and queries from users and improve their experience overall.

It will be interesting seeing whether or not Elon launches a competitor here.
