Cursor vs Figma, GPT 5.2, & AI Opportunities
1/ Cursor Going After Figma??
This one is getting very interesting. Cursor clearly has bigger ambitions than just being a developer tool. An all out design war could be forming, where coding, design, and iteration collapse into a single workflow.
If Cursor seriously challenges Figma’s territory, it signals a future where designers and engineers are operating inside the same AI native environment. This could meaningfully change how products are built from day one.
2/ GPT 5.2 Is Out

Here are the latest thinking evaluations. While GPT 5.2 has received mixed reactions publicly, the raw performance on evals tells a stronger story. It appears to be crushing across multiple benchmarks, especially in reasoning heavy tasks. This feels less like a flashy leap and more like a foundational upgrade that compounds over time as developers integrate it into real systems.
3/ A Federal AI Executive Order Has Officially Been Signed
This is a big deal. A unified federal framework helps reduce uncertainty for startups and enterprises alike. Instead of navigating fragmented rules, companies can now plan with more confidence. This type of regulatory clarity often accelerates adoption, investment, and long term innovation in the ecosystem.
4/ AI Ads Are Going Into Overdrive Next Year
The AI driven advertising wave is just getting started. Between automated creative generation, rapid iteration, and hyper targeted optimization, next year will likely separate teams who prepared early from those playing catch up. Now is the time to lock in your ad strategy, tooling, and experimentation loop before the competition gets too intense.
5/ A Real Opportunity for New Grads: Implementing AI in SMBs
Mark Cuban highlighted something many are overlooking. Small and mid sized businesses want AI but do not know how to implement it. For new grads struggling in the current job market, this is a massive opening. Being the person who can actually deploy, customize, and maintain AI systems inside SMBs can be far more valuable than chasing traditional entry level roles.
