Embedded Signatures & AI Phones

We're in for a wild ride in the world of AI. It's 2024, and the world's gearing up for a year jam-packed with global events.

Let's dive into some of the niftiest tools making waves in the AI ocean and take a peek at photography, AI, and a maze of potential copyright issues.

1/ Canon, Sony Group and Nikon are working on building embedded signatures into images so people can tell whether an image is real or a deep fake

This is how technological progress is best guided- with more advances- not bureaucratic tight-fistedness from DC.

Crypto and AI are both having to go through the DC buzzsaw to thrive- we’ll see how this saga plays out.

More specifically, Nikon is building mirrorless cameras with authentication tech for photojournalists

2/ Google launches VideoPoet, an AI that can generate text, audio, images, and video. Specifically, it aims to be the wholistic AI video solution, with text-to-video, image-to-video, and video to audio

It’s officially a battle of the visual models: VideoPoet vs Stable Diffusion, etc.

3/ Cool find: Here’s a spreadsheet of the latest AI Agents to keep track of: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QeCDcZzgaf6_2jSqyDLYmdB_0JpQsBTfuAhUnk3o250/edit#gid=0

Can never hurt to keep up with the latest and greatest in the AI Agent space.

4/ Samsung is releasing the “Galaxy AI”, which is set to kickstart the era of AI phones.

It’s estimated that more than a billion smartphones with built in generative AI are expected to be launched before 2027- phones that integrate with ChatGPT/Dall-E, generating responses to user questions.

Interesting parallel: the Solana aims to do something similar for Crypto with the Solana Phone.

Now, a billion AI Phones- this is simply a mind-bending stat- one that indicates that we are only in the beginning of the AI-era.

Peace out.
