GPT-4.5 Release, Starlink's FAA Mission, & Deepseek Ban?
GPT-4.5 is out!
There are mixed reviews so far with this model- some say it’s incredible, while others have pointed out it’s outputs are not the best- especially the API

1/ Apple Intelligence Teams Up with Google Gemini: A Power Move in the LLM Arena
Apple just made a game-changing move by partnering with Google Gemini, signaling its ambition to become a major player in third-party LLM integrations.
This is a huge shift for Apple, especially since last year’s Apple Intelligence demo had us all thinking they’d stick closely to OpenAI. But now? It’s a full-on multifront LLM battle, and Apple’s coming in hot.
Apple's backend has revealed that the next 3rd party iOS-AI integration will be Google Gemini

2/ Starlink Takes Aim at Modernizing the FAA
It’s no secret that government tech infrastructure is practically ancient—many systems are older than the average tech startup founder’s parents. The FAA? No exception.
With Starlink stepping in, we might finally see the FAA break free from its half-century-old tech chains. The entire government's outdated infrastructure is getting a reality check, and DOGE's influence is surprisingly in the mix.
🚨NEW: Elon Musk is seeking to deploy Starlink satellites to upgrade the IT networks of the FAA. Starlink already sent 4000 Starlink terminals to the FAA as of last week. This is reportedly in addition to Verizon who had a $2B contract awarded in 2023 for upgrade work (Bloomberg)

The outdated nature of all arms of the government is being thoroughly exposed by DOGE
3/ Building Games with AI: The Future of Game Development
Developers, rejoice! The latest large language models are turning game development on its head. What used to take months (or even years) and massive budgets can now be achieved in a fraction of the time—and for way less money.
The era of AI-powered game design isn’t just coming; it’s already here.
Ok this is kind of nuts. Here’s a basic flight simulator built with AI in 3 hours. Making games is usually measured in months or years. The world is about to get very wild.

4/ U.S. Government Weighs Ban on DeepSeek: A Potential Shockwave for the AI Industry
In a bold and controversial move, the U.S. government is considering banning DeepSeek, the cutting-edge AI model that recently took the world by storm. As one of China's flagship contributions to the AI race, DeepSeek's rapid rise has ignited debates around protectionism and national security in the AI space- and a bill was just introduced to ban it on government devices
A bipartisan bill in the Senate would ban on Chinese AI app DeepSeek on U.S. government devices.
That’s over concerns the app is sending user information to the Chinese Communist Party.
@FerootSecurity found the DeepSeek has embedded user data transfer to China Mobile, a… x.com/i/web/status/1…
