NVIDIA, Chinese Sora, and AI Pageants?

Fellas, what’s he best way to keep AI rolling? Through awareness, funding, and ambition. It’s the roarin’ 20’s for the world of AI- so if you’ve got an AI idea, put it out there!

1/ NVIDIA reaches $3 Trillion in market cap, surpassing Apple.

That’s a hell of a milestone- now more valuable than apple on paper,

And to top it all off, Jensen’s now moving like a rockstar.

2/ Apple’s AI Moment?

Could an AI Awakening be on the horizon for Apple? Plenty of AI enthusiasts have been wondering why Siri is still stuck in the Stone Age. Some think Apple lost its mojo after Steve Jobs' passing, but their partnership with OpenAI could shake things up. Tim Cook claims to have grand plans for iOS 18 and Siri, with real-time transcription and voice memos potentially playing a huge role. A step in the right direction? We'll see!

3/ Chinese Sora?

China is developing its own AI alternative to Sora (Open AI’s text to video model), called Kling, which generates consistent, 2-minute long videos. In fact, Kling can generate videos in 1080p at 30 frames per second- and accurately simulate real-world physics. It can even do photorealistic, 3D face and body reconstruction.

It is beneficial to have more competition in the world of  AI- this “genie in the bottle” video generating technology is far too powerful to be controlled by 1-2 companies. The question then is- Who will win- OpenAI’s Sora or Kling?

4/ Fun find: AI Clothing Try-Ons?

Fytted is a new AI startup that uses iPhones to calculate body measurements, then aligning those details with brand sizing charts.

It’s goal? Get rid of returns.

Just scan your bod with the phone, and you can virtually try on threads from brands like Nike and Zara before buying. Ingenious application of generative AI, if you ask me!

5/ Miss AI Beauty Pageant?

The first AI beauty pageant just occurred. With all the contestants existing only on social media, all the contestants were built off advanced AI models.

Interestingly enough, $5000 was rewarded for the winner- making this more of an AI prompt & graphic design contest.

This could become a more common occurrence in the world of AI
