AI Concerts and Musical Laws
The AI world does not slow down. It’s like a massive wave that engulfs everything in its path.
1/ NVIDIA Concert?
Just look at NVIDIA- building for 30 years, and its now the foundational chip layer of every AI company in the world.
Jensen, the CEO, just spoke at a developers conference, and the turnout was insane- it appeared to be a concert.
Jensen even had to preface during the speech “Just so you know, this is a developers conference, not a concert…”
Unparalleled enthusiasm…
2/ Inflection AI CEO Dips?
After raising $1.3 billion, has joined as head of Microsoft AI
It’s an interesting move- many are speculating- once you have raised that much and have that much on the line, why would he go to Microsoft- what’s the calculus there? Many are wondering.
Regardless, it is a blow to those advocating for decentralized Ai- why?
Because now, Anthropic is one of the few model layer AI companies with no affiliation with Microsoft.
NVIDIA at the chip layer and Microsoft at the model layer….
3/ Zapier Unveils ‘Zapier Central’
Anyways, we have Zapier- an automation platform that’s helped businesses perform countless automations over the years, build an AI agent hub.
Fulfilling the promise of custom GPTs in a sense- where AI agents talk to each other to automatically perform your tasks, step by step.
It’s a great move for any business owner to play around with Zapier central and see what they can automate.
4/ SEC & AI Marketing?
Anyways, the SEC is now getting involved in AI marketing….you don’t hear that everyday. Let’s just say the SEC has not been too kind to innovation- be it in crypto or AI, etc.
In this instance, the SEC charged 2 companies with false AI claims in marketing.
Interesting…expect more clashes between AI and the government this year- given that there is an election coming.
especially given that there is an election coming.
5/ Nashville government vs AI Music
Speaking of governmental regulation….now, there is also a rising interest in AI music from many lawmakers
A new bill has been passed in Tennessee that allows musicians to sue over AI-created impersonations..
Quite interesting- lawmakers have been talking for a while about this, copyright, deepfakes, and other voices- but this is the first time a law has passed on AI in this issue.
We’ll see how this plays out.
Anyways, peace.
