OpenAI is Cooking

As we head deeper into May, it becomes clear that AI is coming head on for a clash with regulators and institutions that run governments.

For instance, Warren Buffet has stated “When you think about the potential for scamming people…if I was interested in investing in scamming, it’s gonna be the growth industry of all time and it’s enabled, in a way by AI”.

Makes sense, AI is a tool, and much like tools before it, there can be negative actors and positive actors.

Good vs evil.

Speaking on this, we’ve got some major developments from the big players

1/ OpenAI Launching a search engine?

They have officially registered certificates for search.chatgpt.com, and Sam spoke on LLMs and search in a recent Lex Fridman podcast. A more direct war between OpenAI and Google may be on the bingo cards.

Rumors are that the projected launch date is May 9th- buckle up.

2/ Open AI releases Music video with Sora

Sora was magical when it came out- but text to video models are only at the beginning

This technology is so powerful that every artist, movie, and production studio will use this in their workflows over time.

3/ AI Fashion?

An AI startup called Brox AI has made digital versions of 27,000 people and factors in their shopping habits. These digital versions of humans would allow companies to obviously personalize brand awareness studies and marketing research.

It’s a new world out there.

4/ Upgrades to Siri?

The AI community has clocked that Apple is lagging the blazing pace of LLM innovation. But don't count them out - there are whispers they're working on "Hey Siri" removal and smoother LLM-powered interactions for iOS 18, with snappier, leaner models for good measure.

5/ OpenAI and Stack Overflow to partner?

More things happening with OpenAI- let them cook.

This partnership was inevitable- Since ChatGPT came out, many developers would visit ChatGPT to get their coding issues resolved, and Stack Overflow saw a massive decrease in traffic.

This is their attempt at getting back in the game- and its probably going to work.
