NVIDIA, Q, & Karpathy

AI Marches On

Now that the “crown jewel” of AI is back, we can only wonder…what’s next in the world of AI?

Startups wavered for a couple of days there, thinking “Should we still build on OpenAI’s API?”

Welp, now that Sam is back, many are back to building with confidence.

And there’s never been a better time than now to learn about Large Language models. Have a family member that wants to dive into the world of AI?

Simply show them this lecture by Andrej Karpathy, who served as director of AI at tesla and works on computer vision at OpenAI.

I would recommend a youtube AI summarizer tool in conjunction, but Karpathy is so brilliant at simplifying concepts that soaking in the whole lecture would be very wise.

And now, we can peel back the curtain on another alleged development, called Q*, a supposed unreleased project dealing with OpenAI.

This model, seems to have the computational power to solve advanced mathematics questions. However, some at OpenAI seemed to believe that the necessary safeguards were not in place to commercialize it.

Diving further, this unreleased project seemed to have fueled, in part, the fractures at the head of OpenAI. Interesting…

Nvidia Weighs In

Nvidia’s CEO urges “acceleration” in AI development. Doesn’t hurt that this will increase the universal need for GPUs :)

Stability AI has now released its text to video model. Massive for developers, artists, and cinematographers all over the world.

Here’s a link to the model on HuggingFace: https://huggingface.co/stabilityai/stable-video-diffusion-img2vid-xt

Wonderful- it was a question of when, not if with regards to text to video. Now, the trillion dollar question, does this disrupt Hollywood in some fashion?

Who knows, but in the short term, it will definitely improve and speed up workflows for independent content creators all over the world.

Cyber Monday

Here’s some awesome ways that AI is being used to help businesses on this Weekend with Black Friday/Cyber Monday:

-Use AI to predict demand- if you’re running an ecommerce brand, for example, using AI to predict how much inventory you’ll need. Here’s a tool to help you do that: https://singuli.co/

-Customer Support Chatbot—> there’s a bunch of AI tools that help with customer support, but one tool we’d recommend is Ada (https://www.ada.cx/).

Now, with that in mind, here are some cool AI products products for Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend:

  1. QuillGenius (https://quillgenius.com) —-> AI writing sidekick

  2. https://www.bargpt.app/ —> GPT powered cocktails anyone?

  3. https://www.llmonitor.com/ —> Observability and analytics for AI apps in production

  4. https://collov.ai/ —-> your AI interior designer…could use a little bit of it during the holiday season!

  5. https://www.wingai.app—-> WingAI, your AI wingman

  6. https://eduphoria.ai/ —-> Your AI teacher

Alright, until next time, peace out.
