Robotics breakthroughs & Students take on NVIDIA?
1/ Open-source robotics?
The Hugging Face team aims to revolutionize robotics, just as they've done with software-based large language models.
Hanging out with the Paris @huggingface robotics team! Let’s make robotics open-source and community-driven

Could robotics experience the same rapid innovation through open-source collaboration?
2/ AI removes constraints for tech companies
As long as I’ve been in the software industry, the fundamental constraint on output in a company has been the number of engineers and inability to hire as many as are needed. If AI lifts that constraint, the rate of progress could meaningfully accelerate.

AI empowers technology companies to drastically reduce engineering costs while simultaneously increasing their productivity and product output. Companies can now achieve more with fewer resources.
3/ Craftsmanship grows increasingly vital in the AI age
AI will reward eloquence. The tokens you use matter. Your conceptual and cognitive boundaries matter. You’ll be rewarded for assimilating science and engineering, even if you don’t code.

In a future dominated by AI, subtle details and skilled craftsmanship will become even more significant differentiators. Attention to detail will be key to standing out.
4/ Elon: Chipmakers will ultimately win the AI race
Elon Musk suggests that, over the long term, chip manufacturers will emerge as major winners in AI.
🚨ELON MUSK: "For the next few years America is likely to win the race in AI. Then it will be a function of who controls the AI chip fabrication. If more of the factories are owned by China then China will win. Right now all the chip fabs are in Taiwan. 100%. If China invades… x.com/i/web/status/1…

For the U.S. to remain competitive, reducing regulatory barriers to enhance domestic chip manufacturing is crucial.
5/ NVIDIA unveils new chips, and Student takes them on?
NVIDIA currently rules the chip level for AI, and Jensen just announced new chips- these, called Blackwell Ultra, offers 1.5 times the performance of Blackwell- Designed for “the age of reasoning”.
Speaking of NVIDIA, this YC team is taking them on:
>be me
>lowly broke student, nobody important
>meet great co-founder
>move to sf for yc
>going up against one of the largest conglomerates in the world (NVIDIA)
>putting together super cracked team to win
>actually designs something great
