Robots & The AI Software Engineer

Exciting developments today- with robots, medicine, and AI agents

1/ A new AI robot has been deployed on British roads to prevent potholes from forming.

The robot was developed in collaboration between the tech company Robotiz3d and the University of Liverpool was fruitful- the AI robot developed to detect potholes passed with flying colors.

2/ AI is helping Medicine Expand

A tool, named the AI Market Expander, has been helping clinics expand geographical location- they do this by predicting the optimal location, size, and scale of a new clinic.

For Clinic owners- this AI basically does risk projection- very useful for those that want to expand.

Such a tool could be applied to many different verticals!

3/ Figure and OpenAI form partnership.

Yep- open AI has been dominating AI software at the model layer- and so, it was time they extended that to the physical realm.

And so, instead of building robot hardware infrastructure from scratch- why not partner with a fast-moving startup that is crushing it in the space?

And that’s where the partnership comes in with Figure.

It will definitely accelerate the pace of deep robotic learning and physical neural network infrastructure.

Are we gearing up for a battle between OpenAI X Figure and Tesla’s Optimus Robots?

Seems like it!

4/ The AI Software Engineer?

The tech world erupted yesterday over the release of Devin, the AI-Software engineer.

Devin blew the minds of many developers all over the world:

It’s truly a step function change- many have reported being able to use Devin to write whole apps & finish Upwork jobs in minutes.

AI Agents have been around since last year, but most did not expect such speed, precision, and output from an agent.

And it’s just the beginning.
