Snap AI & Cocktails

Welcome to the Party

“Yo gimme your snap..”

The all too familiar phrase that takes us back to high school. The question is, are those days behind us? Maybe. Or…maybe not.

Snapchat just released its AI chatbot, and you can chat with it!

One use case would be recipes. Let’s say it’s a beautiful Saturday evening. You’re in a cabin in the countryside. The birds chirp loudly, and the sun gleans through the window, melting onto the rustic table. It’s a tinge hot, but not unbearable. The clock ticks- oddly consistently. You take a stride, numb to the outside world. And another. And another. It’s time.

Saturday night is for the Pies!

But not just any pie- American pie. Wait, no. Blueberry pie- that’s more like it.

Too fiction-bookesque?

Anyways, you take a picture, in-app of the groceries you bought to make said pie. You wait for the AI chatbot to do its thing, and generate an output. The language model rummages through its training data, does predictive analysis, and generates an output.

“Here’s your pie recipe…”

Hooray! You’ve done it. You make that delicious AI-recommended recipe, and you eat ‘till your heart’s content. What could be better?

Fun stuff for sure….hey, it’s better than the stuff that usually goes on in Snapchat!

Anyways, onward.

___________

Alert: New ChatGPT feature—> Now you can share links to your conversation with anybody, whether or not they have an OpenAI account…fun stuff

Let’s just say while many will share, others have a lot of stuff that they’d rather not put out there.

Makes sense, if Google search history is any indicator of what people look for.

Also, now you can hide the side panel (which makes doing demos way easier)....take it from an Open AI insider himself:

____

Now, we’ve got a really cool tool that’s gonna help all you guys out, big time. What am I referring to?

I mentioned it in an earlier addition, but it’s just such a fascinating concept:

Drumroll, please….BarGPT

Your AI-powered bartender.

Simply wild. And fascinating. The underlying tech is a connection to the GPT-4 API, but let’s not dive into all of that right now. Instead, let’s dive into what I’m cooking up in there- a mango cocktail!

Using AI, I got the exact recipe I’m looking for. If that ain’t magic, we’re gonna need to have a conversation with Mr. Merriam Webster.

_____________

By the way, the Apple Headset event is happening right now, as we speak. And, let’s just say, I will be very surprised if they don’t dominate the AI/VR combo space.

They just have a way of adding pizazz to things. As a result, you and I buy their stuff. Simple, really.

Anyways, have a productive week :)
