1/ Apple unveils the iPad Pro lineup to compete with the M4 chip.

Apple focused mainly on the M4 neural engine, which is basically the portion of the chip that focuses on AI. To get a little technical, an IP block in the chip is focused in the acceleration of AI workloads, and is capable of 38 trillion operations per second.

Anyways, Apple’s got some sauce up its sleeve- They should really name one of their newest AI products “Apple Sauce”. No?

2/ Stable Artisan- Stability AI goes to discord

Discord has been a cornerstone destination in the tech world the last couple of years.

At first, it was the location of many web3 projects and tokens.

Next, we saw the rise of Midjourney, an AI image and prompting company that brings in $200 million in yearly revenue, all built on discord.

Now, Stability AI is launching Stable Artisan, a generative AI Discord bot to generate and edit images for the community.

Discord is a natural, community fostering place for many at the cutting edge of technology, so this comes at no surprise.

3/ OpenAI’s Search Competitor Launches Monday

Rumors have been floating around that OpenAI’s search competitor is set to come out on Monday.

And, well, would you look at that. The company is set to stream a live event on Monday called: “Demo some ChatGPT and GPT-4 updates”. 

We all know what these updates could entail. In particular, people are speculating that an update could be a strike at the very core of google.

4/ Singapore Clashes with AI

Remember the Hollywood writers strike a few months back?

Well, a similar phenomena seems to be happening in Singapore.

The Singapore government made a plan to train AI models on published works. Specifically, the National LLM program aims to address the large influences western societies have on LLMs- basically, they want to make a local, national model.
