Trump BTC/AI Energy, New Google Models, & Olympic AI

1/ Trump at Bitcoin Conference: We need more electricity!

He stated in this conference that a lot more electricity is needed for both AI and Crypto. (He also said he would fire Gary Gensler, who is making things quite challenging in the Crypto industry)

In terms of electricity is true to a certain extent, though use cases differ. For Bitcoin, electricity is needed to solve cryptographic puzzles and validate/secure the network. GPUs are used to mine crypto and handle parallel processing tasks.

For AI, training models effectively, especially ones in deep learning, requires a lot of electricity and computation. GPUs and chips such as those from Nvidia are critical here as they can handle training complex neural networks.

So, significant resources are needed for both crypto and AI- The two biggest technology revolutions of the last decade.

2/ New AI Models from Google

Google has released new AI models (AlphaProof and AlphaGeometry 2) with advanced mathematical reasoning capabilities.

These AI models are flexing their mathematical muscles, aiming to crack open new frontiers in math.

Get this - AlphaProof just went toe-to-toe with the international Math Olympiad silver medalist. Talk about a photo finish! Looks like we're in for some mind-bending breakthroughs. Who's ready for AI-powered theorems?

3/ Anthropic Data Scraping Practices

Anthropic's been caught with its hand in the cookie jar! Freelancer.com's raising eyebrows over the company's bot army scraping their site for sweet data.

But let's be real - in the cutthroat world of LLMs, it's eat or be eaten. Everyone's hungry for that training data. The question is: who's gonna end up with indigestion?

4/ AthleteGPT for the Olympics

Athletes at the  Paris Olympics are utilizing Athlete GPT- a 24/7 AI chatbot that provides athletes with biomedical insights and performance tips. Not bad!
