War & Coffee

AI Arena Expands

1/ AI Dog Fight in the US Air Force?

The US Air-force used an AI pilot to face off against a human pilot during a dogfight scenario. And it was successful in doing so.

We’ve currently got Waymos replacing human drivers in SF-

But this could mean be a significant change if AI pilots could be sent into combat, instead of humans.

2/ AI Coffee Blends?

A coffee roastery in Helsinki, the Finnish capital, utilized AI to develop a coffee blend completely determined by AI.

Specifically, the “AI-iconic” blend was developed utilizing AI tools. The shop states that “AI was tasked with crafting a blend that would ideally suit coffee enthusiasts’ tastes, pushing the boundaries of conventional flavor combinations”.

AI flying planes to war, now leading coffee roadmaps….will any sector be untouched by this revolution?

3/ Meta vs OpenAI?

Many developers have stated that the Llama 3 model is right there with GPT-4.

Meaning, Zuck has closed the gap on Sam - and at the current rate, will be on OpenAI’s tail for the foreseeable future in terms of model releases.

This is a positive signal for AI developers and entrepreneurs- less reliance on a single company for foundational models allows for greater versatility for everyone.

4/ Fun AI Hardware

A new AI Hardware device was just released- (no, not the Humane pin).

This is called the Poetry Camera, a camera that turns pictures you take into poems. It’s a fun tool that runs on Raspberry Pi and uses GPT-4 for poetry generation.

Gadgets like this are awesome- if you’re ever thinking about what to build, you can never go wrong with fun tools like this!

AI prompt for thought- “Code a snake game in python”

Llama 3 70B on Groq produced the output at a much higher speed than GPT-4…

Anyways, peace out.
